First Day of 4th grade!

My mom goes a little crazy with the first day of school. I think it's because she is so ready to get rid of us and back to her reading schedule. Every year we have to stand out side next to a blank wall so she can ask us questions and put them on the pictures. I think I rock my look going into fourth grade. I really really really liked this book Mickey is a lot like me. My mom hates it when I get a new Barbie and the first thing I do it take off all of her clothes and start making my own clothes for them. I love to use play doh and tissue paper. I have also used sharpies, which really makes my mom mad.

Mickey has always loved fashion. The kids in her school didn't get why she loved fashion so much and so she really didn't have a lot of friends who got her.

Mickey goes behind her mom's back and applied to the Fashion Academy of Brooklyn Middle school in New York City. She has always wanted to be a fashion designer and so she really wants to go to the FAB. But she

lives in Philadelphia and so if she gets in, she will have to go live with her not so nice aunt.

Mickey gets in and she is so excited but she has a hard time fitting in. Everyone is so different than her and so she decides to become somebody else with the help of her friend Javen Cumberland. Just because she pretends to be someone else, Mickey has a hard time with not being her true self.

I really liked this book and I hope there will be more books at the Fashion Academy of Brooklyn.

Third Grade here I come!

Summer is over (BOO!) but now that it's over, that means it's time for 3rd grade. I am so happy that I got Mrs. Ivie this year. She is super nice and she likes to give us Starbursts when we are good in class. Mom likes to take pictures of us on the first day of school and ask us a million questions. So here is mine for this year.

The thing that I am looking forward to the most is the field trips we get to take in third grade. We get to finally leave the school!

I still need to get my mom to post pictures from our summer vacation, but she says that she will get to them soon. I have a lot of great pictures to share. We had a lot of fun!

It's going to be a busy year! Lots of fun to come.

Hanging with Tara Sivec

My mom had some friends in town this weekend and so I got to go with her to take her friend Ms. Tara to the airport. She was really funny. And she even wrote a book about My Little Ponies, which is my favorite thing ever right now. While we were waiting on Ms. Tara to come down to the lobby, my mom and I went walking by the waterway in The Woodlands. Here are some pictures of me showing her my dancing moves. I was a little cold, so I had to keep moving.

When Ms. Tara came down to see us, the first thing she said was "Where is Emmy? Oh my god, there she is...the famous Emmy!"  Every time I go with my mom somewhere, everyone seems to know me. So I guess that makes me famous. When my mom came home on Saturday night she had a book from Ms. Tara that had a My Little Pony on the front cover and I tried to steal it from her. My mom said that I could read it in about 10 years! What's the deal with that? Then she told me that the story was about a BOY who likes My Little Pony! That's just weird. So then I decided to protest the book. This would never happen! I try to get my friends who are boys to play with me and they go running.

So as you can see from this photo...the protest went well. My sign says "Down with Bronies" (that's what my mom said boys who like My Little Ponies are called). I covered my face so Ms. Tara wouldn't figure out it was me. I think the protest was a success.

As we were leaving the hotel, I noticed they had this cool looking thrown. My mom said it wasn't a throne but a place you sit to get your shoes shined. I still say it was a throne they brought in just for me. See I even have my princess wave down pat.

We were going to take a walk down the waterway but it started raining and so we decided to go and get something to eat. We went to this really cool place called the Cheesecake Factory. 

Since my mom loves to take pictures and then show them to everyone in the world. She showed Ms. Tara the picture of my protest and she put two and two together and noticed I was wearing the same shirt! My mom totally ratted me out. Good thing Ms. Tara likes me. She just gave me a big hug and let me play on her iPad instead. She even bought me a big huge piece of Chocolate Cheesecake. I think she may be the best person in the whole wide world. 

 Then Ms. Tara was talking to my mom about a Moxie doll that comes with a unicorn that poops rainbows! I have to have this doll. Like now! I tried to talk my mom into buying one for me and then when she said no, I tried to convince Ms. Tara to give me her doll - but she said no too. Darn! Hopefully the Easter Bunny will bring one for me. Otherwise I may have to give up a trip to The American Girl Doll Store, so I can get my hands on one of these. I LOVE UNICORNS!!! I may have been a little mean and not shared my umbrella with Ms. Tara over this. 

My second protest of the day... I need a UNICORN!!

I had a fun time with Ms. Tara and my mom. I am so happy that I get to go with her to different things and have fun.
